  1. I’m curious as to what stocks were actually bought and sold in that Worst Mutual Fund Ever. Although it was market timing and fees that killed the fund, I’m always fascinated by the “investors that chase after a concentrated pool of “hot stocks”. Must have been all penny stocks; tech and biotech companies that don’t even have a single product on the market.

    Thanks for these weekly articles.

    Sincerely

    • Overall, some really terrible moves from the fund manager and charging/passing on the fees to the fund holders. Its why I detest mutual funds.

Hope you had a good wknd

        ARB,

It was mostly the market timing, the rapid turnover, the high fees that really killed the fund. As the level of assets under management decreased, the costs went up a lot. Unfortunately, management treated this fund as a personal annuity, even passing on legal fees from the government onto shareholders of the funds.

  2. As always, thanks for sharing the link to our two collections. Your continued support is greatly appreciated my friend. Also enjoy seeing other interesting reads on the chatter as well. Catching up on these reads and my my morning coffee is always a great start the day!

Hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend. AFFJ
