  1. Thanks for the mention R2R! I like that graphic you have at the top. So in other words who knows? Focus on quality companies that have a good chance to continue being around next year and continue selling more product for higher prices. Other big news for the week was the AT&T/DirecTV merger was completed.

    Have a great weekend!

    • Yup, thats the way to look at it. Always look for the safe companies that have been around and will adapt and survive the changing environment.

It was good to hear that the AT&T/DirecTV merger is now officially cleared. I missed out on adding to my AT&T position earlier this year, but it still looks like a decent yield…will be looking to add more there one of these days.

      Have a great wknd

  2. R2R…
Another great list of articles to fill up my Saturday. I usually find these articles interesting and informative and contain sufficient ideas to warrant their reading. And this week is no different, except for Chuck Carnevale’s article on market timing. I believe his idea that market timing is not for retirees is mistaken. Market timing can improve anyone’s entry and exit points and should be taken into account in any buy or sell transaction.

    • Dennis,
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I am not someone who is very good at timing the market and do not recommend it for others. But then again, I dont believe/understand the technical analysis side of things. I know it works for some people…but if you understand it well enough and at the end of the day, if you are making money – hey why not?!

Its always great to hear from you. Hope you are having a great weekend.
