  1. Hey R2R,

Great to see that you’re slightly ahead of your yearly goal. You’ve got a 3% cushion of safety there. Here in the UK, we have predominantly bi-annual dividend payments, which are split 60:40 or thereabouts, so most of mine come in June, and the smaller (interim) payment in December. Sometimes I do wish more companies would pay a quarterly payment, but then I guess it doesn’t matter too much over the long haul.

    • Hey M,
Yeah, 3% over the target isnt bad. Im hoping to beat my goal for the year, even though it seemed a bit conservative….we are planning to put some extra cash towards our debts this year rather than focus on investing. Still the slow and steady increase should help that passive income grow.
I hear ya on the UK stocks – it sometimes discourages me since its slower to compound, but really there are some quality companies like Diegeo that I’d like to own. For now, its a bit lower on the priority list though….hopefully I’ll pick some of them up over the years.

      Thanks for stopping by

  2. Nice solid numbers! I especially like the ‘other’ category. Nice little side hustle to contribute to the cause!! Keep it up!

  3. Awesome month! It also looks like the payouts are pretty evenly distributed month-to-month which is probably not intended, but a nice bonus, anyway. I received my first dividend payouts in March for JNJ and CVX since restarting the portfolio. Unlike rentals, I almost forgot how easy it is to collect dividends 🙂

    • Thanks FI Fighter.
My payouts are fairly even month to month- even though I didnt plan it to be. Good to hear that the dividends have started flowing from JNJ and CVX. Barely any work when it comes to collecting dividends 🙂

      Best wishes

    • Thanks HMB. The passive income update posts are the most fun. Its a validation of why dividend investing works and a great quantifiable way to track progress.

      Best wishes

  4. That’s a nice-looking list of stocks you have there. I like that we share a few names in common.

Congrats on a fantastic month, and on being ahead in your yearly goal! 🙂

    • I am happy with the portfolio composition and if I remember your portfolio, there are some that I would like to own as well. Hope you had a good month too and looking forward to your future moves.

  5. Excellent progress on your annual goal of earning $5,500 in passive income! In fact, you’re ahead of schedule — keep up the good work!

    Take care!

  6. Awesome month R2R. You’re doing wonderful bud. It feels great growing the portfolio larger and larger. Such a addicting hobby! Keep up the great work and always a pleasure reading your posts. Take care bud.

  7. Great passive income for the month and awesome quarterly figure too. You should be well over $6k for the year in dividends. Loves that WFC and BNS raise. I could not ask for more even though they were both on the smaller side. Thanks for sharing.

    • Thanks DivHut. I hope to get past my $5.5K goal – would be great to hit $6K for sure. I am happy with teh BNS increase since its a semi-annual one, but WFC was a bit smaller than expected…still – thats a pretty good increase. Cant really complain.

  8. R2R,

Awesome month! Love the consistency of your passive income – it’s almost like a metronome.

And it’s great to see that you’re past the 25% milestone already with the first quarter under your belt. Right on track to crush this year’s goal!

    Keep it up,

  9. Great month R2R and you are already ahead of your goal. Keep it going.
There are couple of stocks that are common between our portfolios and I would really like to add WFC to the list since that is a sector that I don’t have much exposure in. Hopefully sooner than later.

    • Thanks for the wishes, DGJ.
WFC is a great company and is currently at a decent valuation – I wouldnt says its a screaming buy. There are better deals in the Canadian banks if you are looking for financial sector exposure.

    • Hey Evan,
Year over year, is a bit skewed. I had an annual payout last Mar from one of the mutual funds (Mar 2014 divs were $509). Moreover, we liquidated a lot of our holdings last year for the downpayment of our home, we’ve had to build it all back up again.

      Thanks for stopping by

  10. Over $1700 in passive income so far this year? Hopefully that will be your MONTHLY passive income soon. Keep at it, R2R!

If you don’t mind me asking (and sorry if you’ve posted this and I didn’t see it), but how much of your passive income is coming from your online ventures as opposed to your investments?

    • Hey ARB,
Thanks for stopping by and the comment. I cant wait until I get to a point where I make that kind of money every month in passive income 🙂

Right now, the split is about 50-50 on passive income from my investments and other ventures.

Your site is new to me. I will be sure to check it out.
